Coordinated expertise

Connect children and families with coordinated expertise.

Pediatric neuromodulation often requires collaboration across neurology, neurosurgery, pain medicine, psychiatry, rehabilitation, engineering, psychology, and other specialties.

01

What coordinated care looks like

A multidisciplinary program should have clear referral criteria, appropriate diagnostic evaluation, family-centered decision-making, modality-specific expertise, safety monitoring, outcome measurement, emergency planning, and long-term follow-up.

02

Directory principles

If INFANCY develops a directory, inclusion criteria should be transparent and should not imply endorsement beyond the verified criteria. Listings should identify services, age ranges, modalities, conditions, location, referral process, and last verification date.

Founding note

INFANCY cannot recommend an individual treatment or clinician. Families should discuss options with qualified professionals who understand the child’s full clinical context.
